7 Day Fasting Program
This year for our time of consecration and fasting we have chosen the Ezra fast. Ezra 8:21-23.
From January 16- 22 we will be petitioning God for Guidance, Assistance and Substance. Fasting is designed as a sacrificial form of prayer warfare that produces results available in no other way.
Spiritual breakthrough happen when you deprive yourself of a pleasure and refocus that time and energy toward praying and seeking God. Fasting requires two important elements:
(1) Refraining of something you enjoy
(2) Prayer
Day One – Sunday, January 16th
Focus: Clean Heart and Renewal
Meditation: Psalm 51:10
Fasting Instructions: No sweets, sodas, breads or fast food.
Corporate Prayer:
“Father, I repent of all my sins. As I fast, help me to focus entirely on you. Give me a clean heart that I may serve you in purity and truth. Renew in me your Holy Spirit, that I may entirely reflect you each day of my life. Let my life be a sermon that brings you glory, the lost to repentance and the captive free. In Jesus’ name, Hallelujah Amen.”
Day Two – Monday, January 17th
Focus: Inviting the Presence of God in every area of my life.
Meditation: Psalm 16:11
Fasting Instructions: No sweets, sodas, breads or fast foods
Corporate Prayer:
“Father, in Your presence in the fullness of joy. I want to be in Your presence daily. I want to feel and see you. I invite your presence in every area of my life; in my family, on my job, in my home and in all my relationships. I want to experience the fullness of your joy in all areas of my life. In Jesus’ name, Hallelujah Amen.”
Day Three – Tuesday, January 18th
Focus: Humility
Meditation: Psalm 35:13-14
Fasting Instructions: Veggies, Fruit and Water Only
Corporate Prayer:
“Father, keep me humble at your feet for you service. Let me reflect the humility of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Let my words be tender and sweet, and my behavior be godly and holy. As I face challenges each day, let me embrace them with holy confidence that you are working on behalf, in Jesus’ name, Hallelujah Amen.
Day Four – Wednesday, January 19th
Focus: God’s Intervention
Meditation: 2nd Samuel 12:15-17
Fasting Instructions: Veggies, Fruit and Water Only.
Corporate Prayer:
“Father, help me evaluate my life. Cause me to yield entirely to you in each area I have not fully submitted to you. I pray for divine intervention for my family, friends, enemies and those whom you have connected to my life’s purpose. May you grant healing, favor and deliverance as only you can. In Jesus’ name, Hallelujah Amen.”
Day Five – Thursday, January 20th
Focus: Financial Freedom
Meditation: Ephesians 3:20-21
Fasting Instructions: Veggies, Fruit and Water Only.
Corporate Prayer:
“Father, I believe you are able to do everything I need and want in my life and in the lives of those around me. Bless me to be financially free from debt and any other institution that would keep me bound. Bless my church, Word Of Life Christian Faith Center. Surpass all our needs and wants so that we will fulfill the original purpose you have for our ministry. In Jesus’ name, Hallelujah Amen.”
Day Six – Friday, January 21st
Focus: Word Of Life Christian Faith Center, Pastor, Leaders
Meditation: Jeremiah 3:15 & Matthew 16:18-19
Fasting Instructions: Veggies, Fruit and Water Only.
Corporate Prayer:
“Father, Thank you for speaking to and through my Pastor and his family. Bless him to hear you clearly, walk in the anointing and spirit of discernment. Give him godly wisdom to lead us, shepherd us and help us reach spiritual maturity. Bless your church, Word Of Life to magnify you through ministry, missions, membership and spiritual maturity. Bless each leader as they work with our Pastor in kingdom building. In Jesus’ name, Hallelujah Amen.”
Day Seven – Saturday, January 22nd
Focus: An Encounter
Meditation: Acts 10:44
Fasting Instructions: Veggies, Fruit and Water Only.
Corporate Prayer:
“Father, may your Holy Spirit dwell among us, guide us and give us direction toward living a purposeful life, with targeted goals. Bless our worship experience to see miracles manifest. I expect manifold blessings. Add daily to your kingdom, and add to your church, Word Of Life Christian Faith Center. In Jesus’name, Hallelujah Amen“
